Private View is a solo performance piece devised for the private view of a visual arts exhibition.

Joshua Sofaer exploits the possibilities of the Gallery environment in his goal to become a work of art.

It’s kind of Saatchi meets Liberace at a life drawing class.

Inspiration, concept, preparation, craft, exhibition and sale are identified as key moments in the genesis of a work of art. The difference for the performer using his body: you’ve got it, you sell it, you’ve still got it.

Private View confronts the art market with the body of the artist.

Gagging for It was curated by Rosmond Kinsey Milner.
